If you have a link to a video or photo gallery that we should add, please share it with us in the comments.

Listener Feedback about Lauren

If you are a fan of [Joseph] Campbell or [Christopher] Vogler, you will note that the opening and end scenes of a story are the “book-marks” for the character. These two scenes demonstrate where the character is at the beginning of the story, and finally where they end up – how they have changed because of the events of the story.

At the beginning of the season, Lauren was in Hecuba prison to find out what happened to her mentor. It turns out that the Warden had been experimenting on her prisoners…. [Lauren] believed Dr. Everett would never willingly be part of such a scheme and wondered why, instead of staying to get more evidence for the Ash, she didn’t get out while she could. The answer, of course, is because Dr. Everett was devoted to the health and safety of those she was responsible for.

In the finale, Lauren is in EXACTLY the same situation. She gets involved with Taft’s company, but then discovers the unethical science in his lab. She figures out Taft is experimenting on his prisoners who end up dazed and out of it. The discovery gets Lauren imprisoned in a cell. She knows the danger to herself if she stays and participates, but she does it anyway to protect the people/Fae she feels responsible for. – Brash Sculptor

Listener Poll Results

Thank you to everyone who voted in our polls about Lauren and couple names.

  • Why do people find Lauren’s flowery underwear so surprising? Is it because she’s so practical and reserved? Let us know in the comments.
  • Hooray for Doccubus trouncing BoLo, but no clear preferred couple name for Bo/Tamsin has emerged. Also, thank you to so many of you for being willing to give “Dockyrie” a try for Tamsin/Lauren. (Copdoc is confusing! Which cop?)

Calling Dyson, Hale, and Vex Lovers

We are still looking for contributors to our series of episodes focusing on each of the main characters. Specifically, we’re looking for people who love Dyson, Hale, and Vex & The Morrigan, as well as a Bo/Dyson and a Bo/Lauren shipper. If you are interested in being a contributor, tell us what character or couple you would like to discuss and why by:

Don’t forget to include your Twitter name, email address, or some other way to contact you. Some things you can discuss in your message include what you find interesting about the character/couple, what storylines you have really appreciated, and how you would like to see the character/couple develop in future seasons.

  1. This is more of a shot in lenght than a pint but still liking the updates. The updates are one of my favorite parts to Tuesday now. 🙂

Glad we’ll get DragonCon and FanExpo reports, they should be fun and thank you for linking panel clips and galleries; that was very nice of you!

I really doubt Lauren will suffer the same fate as Everett just because if they kill Lauren off it’ll basically end that series and they don’t want that; she has to live in order to keep the show going. 🙂

I don’t know why so many are surprised about Lauren’s underwear choice; it’s sexy yet very simple in color as well and still very girly…they fit Lauren. Heck even if Lauren had been shown to wear fire red underwear with black lace or whatever, while surprising at first, it wouldn’t been that surprising because we don’t know what Lauren likes to wear underneath; some days it could be white flowers and others it could be “come here lover!” sets. Lauren might be buttoned up most of the day but that’s not her everyday all the time. Ha.

I still think the text message thing is the most surprising because of grammar reasons; Lauren just doesn’t seem like the type to short hand something like that.

Looking forward to the upcoming Trick discussion; there should definitely be a lot to dissect with him!

      1. Well well played then! Haha. 🙂

Sad we didn’t get the Trick discussion today as well; it would have been perfect release day seeing as it’s Trickster Tuesday after all. 😉

  2. I think for me, the flowered underwear was not so much a surprise in that Lauren was wearing it, but rather it was just in big time contrast to how underwear is usually portrayed on TV when here’s a romantic or sexy situation. I’m more used to seeing black lingerie or sometimes red when a woman’s gettin’ biz.

Lauren’s white bra and undies with flowers on them seemed like something a normal person might be wearing in the middle of the day when they weren’t necessarily expecting to get lucky. And that, in and of itself on TV, was startling.

    Plus it was super cute!
