We share our first impressions and what made us happy in “Rise,” including the return of an old (huge) friend and happy endings for a couple of couples.
We talk about our favorite recurring character as part of our 30 Days of Lost Girl series in which we answer a bunch of questions about Lost Girl. Tell us your favorite recurring character in the comments!
Bo and Tamsin find themselves stuck in a time loop during the celebration of Yule. They try to make the best of it and have some fun until they realize that some of the party goers are going missing. Meanwhile, Lauren and Dyson, with the surprising help of Vex, debate the consequences of telling Bo about a mysterious package she shipped herself, and Hale and Kenzi prepare to take their relationship to the next level.
After learning from The Una Mens that she had somehow pledged herself to the Dark, Bo goes looking for Vex to try to undo it. Promising to help her find Vex, The Morrigan invites Bo to a Dark Fae party where she discovers that Lauren has also been taken into the fold. Kenzi and Tamsin discover that Bruce has been made a slave to another Fae as punishment for helping Kenzi, and they try to free him. Trick is summoned before The Una Mens who have some questions about The Blood King.
Lost Girl showrunner Emily Andras was kind enough to join us for a chat. We ask her about how the writing process works on Lost Girl, if the writers are still planning to hold Kenzi to that favor she owes The Morrigan from “Table for Fae,” who came up with the brilliant idea for that car wash promo, and whether she has a bet going with the other writers to get Ksenia Solo to make out with as many of her fellow cast members as possible.
The Morrigan’s hulking, soft-spoken henchman Bruce emerged as one of the more delightful surprises of season three. We discuss Bruce’s small but revealing story arc and where we hope to see his story go in season four. Also, we share a few announcements about FanExpo 2013 and Dragon*Con 2013.
