The Fae World exists as a two-party system, the Dark and the Light. While the Dark Fae are often antagonists, as a group they are not consistently evil, just as the Light are not purely good. We discuss what we know about the Dark Fae, including their political structure and their philosophy toward humans, as well as some of the prominent Dark Fae characters, including Vex and The Morrigan.
After learning from The Una Mens that she had somehow pledged herself to the Dark, Bo goes looking for Vex to try to undo it. Promising to help her find Vex, The Morrigan invites Bo to a Dark Fae party where she discovers that Lauren has also been taken into the fold. Kenzi and Tamsin discover that Bruce has been made a slave to another Fae as punishment for helping Kenzi, and they try to free him. Trick is summoned before The Una Mens who have some questions about The Blood King.
Trick is the most mysterious character on Lost Girl, which is saying a lot given the amount of secret-keeping that goes on amongst Bo and her circle of friends and family. We explore some of the (many) unanswered questions about Trick. How did he become The Blood King? What have been some consequences of Trick using his powers? How far would he go and who would he sacrifice to protect “the greater good”? We also discuss one fan’s analysis of Trick as a villain.
Bo has many facets to her personality that make her an interesting, compelling character, including her protectiveness, her resistance to rules and binaries, and her nerdiness. We discuss these characteristics and more, and we delve into Dark Bo/Super Bo’s powers as well as her evolving relationship with her human friends.
