We love it when friendship is important on TV shows, and we love that it is so important on Lost Girl. We discuss how friendship is central to the show’s premise as well as talk about some of the great friendships on Lost Girl.
The Fae World exists as a two-party system, the Dark and the Light. While the Dark Fae are often antagonists, as a group they are not consistently evil, just as the Light are not purely good. We discuss what we know about the Dark Fae, including their political structure and their philosophy toward humans, as well as some of the prominent Dark Fae characters, including Vex and The Morrigan.
When is The Morrigan going to call in that favor from Kenzi? What happened to Lou Ann Heidegger? Is the first Ash still on life support? We discuss the hanging plot threads on Lost Girl that people are anxious to be resolved, many of which — not surprisingly — are leftover from Season 4.
Lauren’s Light Fae pendant has always been an important symbol on Lost Girl for Lauren’s servitude to The Ash. However, she left the Fae and took off the pendant in Season 3 and has not worn it since. Season 4 introduced another significant necklace, a gift from Lauren to Bo. We discuss how Bo’s necklace serves as an interesting counterpoint to Lauren’s necklace as well as talk about a couple other meaningful necklaces on the show.
Bo must confront the effects of her and Rainer’s alliance which released a hell beast, but first she has to deal with Massimo who has kidnapped Lauren to bait Bo. Dyson, Tamsin, and Trick try to hold off the hell beast’s undead army in the meantime, and Kenzi realizes that she might, in fact, have a role to play in the fight.
When undead assassins come after Bo, Tamsin and a surprisingly not-dead Acacia insist that Bo investigate who sent them after her, implying that Rainer might be responsible. Meanwhile, Kenzi worries about Hale wanting to talk to her about something important and is shocked when her mother shows up at the clubhouse. Trick shares stories of Vex’s father with Vex while angling to get some information for himself.
Trying to take their minds off of the tense situation with Bo, Kenzi convinces Lauren and Dyson to help her take on a case for a client whose legs were amputated as she went for a swim. Meanwhile, Bo and Rainer commit an act that is bound to have serious repercussions.
In effort to answer her lingering questions about what happened to her while she was with The Wanderer, Bo opens the mysterious jar she sent herself. Meanwhile, Trick visits an old friend to help him recover a memory he fears he blocked, and Kenzi and Tamsin try to find out what Trick is hiding.
Bo and Tamsin find themselves stuck in a time loop during the celebration of Yule. They try to make the best of it and have some fun until they realize that some of the party goers are going missing. Meanwhile, Lauren and Dyson, with the surprising help of Vex, debate the consequences of telling Bo about a mysterious package she shipped herself, and Hale and Kenzi prepare to take their relationship to the next level.
A woman appears saying that Bo told her to find her, but Bo has no memory of meeting her. In exchange for helping her free herself from her captor, the woman promises to use her abilities to help Bo remember the time she has forgotten. Meanwhile, Lauren and The Morrigan get chatty as Lauren settles into her new relationship with the Dark, and Hale and Kenzi might finally be connecting.
