Season 4 had myriad Big Bads, including one who seemed like a red herring but might not be? We discuss The Wanderer/Rainer, Pyrippus, The Una Mens, and Massimo before talking about some of the major themes of the season.
Trying to take their minds off of the tense situation with Bo, Kenzi convinces Lauren and Dyson to help her take on a case for a client whose legs were amputated as she went for a swim. Meanwhile, Bo and Rainer commit an act that is bound to have serious repercussions.
During the hiatus, we take a moment to review Season 4 thus far. We discuss some themes of the season, unanswered questions, and moments we missed in our initial discussions. We talk about the recurring theme of memory, where Trick’s papyrus seed might have gone, what was in the oozy box in “In Memoriam,” and more.
When Dyson is set to be executed by The Una Mens for crimes he supposedly committed over 100 years ago, Bo enlists Lauren’s help to transport herself into Dyson’s memories to clear him of the charges. In Dyson’s memories, Bo’s subconscious comes out to play, revealing some of her fears and desires. Meanwhile, both Hale and Kenzi do what they can to help Dyson.
A woman appears saying that Bo told her to find her, but Bo has no memory of meeting her. In exchange for helping her free herself from her captor, the woman promises to use her abilities to help Bo remember the time she has forgotten. Meanwhile, Lauren and The Morrigan get chatty as Lauren settles into her new relationship with the Dark, and Hale and Kenzi might finally be connecting.
After learning from The Una Mens that she had somehow pledged herself to the Dark, Bo goes looking for Vex to try to undo it. Promising to help her find Vex, The Morrigan invites Bo to a Dark Fae party where she discovers that Lauren has also been taken into the fold. Kenzi and Tamsin discover that Bruce has been made a slave to another Fae as punishment for helping Kenzi, and they try to free him. Trick is summoned before The Una Mens who have some questions about The Blood King.
When Massimo steals the furniture from the clubhouse because of Kenzi’s debt, Bo must return to Lauren’s apartment for an herb to pay him, and she discovers some surprising things. While he tries to find Lauren, Dyson babysits Tamsin, who is going through some changes. Meanwhile, Lauren deals with her captors, who have an interesting request.
Dyson teams up with a tracker to find Bo, who doesn’t seem to be on this plane anymore. While Kenzi babysits a tiny Tamsin, Hale tries to muster enough nerve to tell Kenzi how he feels about her. Lauren encounters a Fae while she’s in hiding, which helps her bond with her co-worker, Crystal.
